HEPHA GmbH was founded in May 2021 in Germany and one of the factories is in Maisach (near Munich). We design, develop and assemble e-bikes, focussing for the moment on EU markets.

The name "HEPHA" is an abbreviation of "HEPHAISTOS", the name of the Greek god of fire and crafts. HEPHA shares a common goal with him: to improve life through technology and art. Because unlike the other Olympian gods, who used their divine power purely, Hephaestus used both technology and art to take his own destiny into his own hands.

The combination of high-tech and design is also the key for HEPHA to inspire a growing community with contemporary mobility products. The development and the entire design process takes place in Germany near Munich, Logistics and customer service are based in Schweinfurt. Final assembly takes place at various production sites worldwide.

Senior Full Stack Developer (m/f/d)
About us

HEPHA is one of Europe's fastest-growing e-bike brands, combining high tech and design. Our digital team is growing, and we're looking for someone who builds, tests and runs projects in one.

Why it matters

Our bikes are computers on wheels: motor, display, battery, app and cloud, all talking to each other. Every release changes how thousands of riders feel their bike, and they keep it for a decade. What you build goes from a spec to a bike on the road, and you get to ride it.

What you will do

You work directly with our digital lead and R&D. Many digital projects run at once: motors, displays, apps, web tools. You take a share, matched to your strengths, and what you take you own end to end, from the spec to the release on the bike:

  • Build web apps, tools and prototypes (TypeScript, Python, Next.js, FastAPI) on agentic platforms (Claude Code, Codex)
  • Run projects with our partners in China: write the specs, follow through, decide with us what goes on our bikes
  • Test new firmware and app releases on real bikes and write down what you find
  • Keep the pipelines running: CI/CD, hosting, monitoring
  • Read a CAN trace, script a test rig, try the tool nobody asked for

At the start, expect more project management, testing and exploring than finished platforms.

What you bring
  • Senior-level full-stack development with production experience
  • Project management in practice: several projects at once, clear specifications, follow-through
  • Daily work on agentic platforms (Claude Code, Codex or similar)
  • DevOps and testing basics: CI/CD, Docker, cloud hosting, automated tests
  • Love for bikes, no fear of hardware: multimeter, crimped cables, CAN bus
  • Clear communication across cultures and time zones
  • Fluent English

Bonus: Mandarin (a real plus) or German; C/C++ basics to read firmware and CAN messages; Flutter or BLE; EU product compliance.

For most people, HEPHA starts on a screen: a reel, a video, a post from a rider. What you publish decides whether they ride a HEPHA next. We have a bike that speaks for itself and a voice that is direct, honest and simple. You give both a channel, and you get to ride what you shoot.

What you will do

You work directly with our marketing lead and sit close to Product, Performance Marketing and Sales. You own our organic channels from idea to published post:

  • Plan and run our social channels (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn) with a clear editorial calendar
  • Create content yourself or with partners: short video, photo, stories, riders' stories
  • Build content for launches, events and the roadshow season, on site and online
  • Support our 600+ dealers with ready-to-use social content and templates
  • Answer comments and messages, and hear what riders actually say
  • Work with Performance Marketing on creatives, and track which content works
  • Write for the website, blog and newsletter when a story needs more than a caption

At the start, expect a lot of shooting, testing and learning what our community responds to.

What you bring
  • Professional experience in social media and content creation, ideally in B2C and B2B
  • Strong writing in German and good English, with a clear, direct voice
  • Hands-on video and photo skills: shoot, cut, publish (CapCut, Premiere or similar)
  • Feel for formats and platform trends, and the data to back up your decisions
  • Structured way of working: several channels and projects at once, deadlines kept
  • Love for bikes and time outdoors

Bonus: Experience in the bike, outdoor or sporting goods industry; AI tools in your creative workflow; community or influencer management; basic SEO.

Your Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders via our ERP system.
  • Picking materials and products in accordance with specified quantities.

  • Support our dealers in winning more local customers by developing and managing localized performance marketing campaigns (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Ads, geo-targeting, event promotion).
  • Ensure that our promotions, events, and trade fair appearances (by us or our dealers) are digitally visible – converting online interest into real-life visits to stores or stands.
