Bike Bonus: Purchase Assistance Extended Until 2027
Who is eligible for the bike bonus?
Eligible individuals include:

Adults residing in France with a reference tax income per share of €15,400 or less (2022 reference tax income for a purchase or rental in 2024. Check your 2023 tax notice).

Individuals with disabilities holding proof of their status.

Legal entities (companies, associations, municipalities).
Regardless of the type, the acquired bike must meet the following conditions:

It must not use a lead battery.

It must not be sold within a year following the billing date or the first lease payment.

It must have a unique identifier inscribed on its frame.
Note:

An individual can only benefit from this aid once.

The bike bonus can be combined with the conversion bonus and other local government aids, if applicable.

Obtaining this aid is no longer conditioned by prior receipt of local aid.
What is the amount of the bike bonus?
Electric-assisted bike:
-
Individual with a reference tax income per share of €7,100 or less, or in a situation of disability: Maximum aid of €400.

Individual with a reference tax income per share of €15,400 or less: Maximum aid of €300.
How to obtain the bike bonus?
The aid request must be submitted no later than six months after the bike's billing date. It must be filed online on the dedicated website: primealaconversion.gouv.fr Your request must be accompanied by the following supporting documents (additional documents may be requested depending on your situation):

A copy of a valid identity card, passport, or residence permit.

A copy of proof of residence less than three months old.

A copy of the bike purchase invoice.

A full copy of the tax notice from the year preceding the bike purchase (for a bike purchased in 2024: provide the 2023 tax notice on 2022 income).

Proof of your disability status, if applicable.
Note: In addition to the aid presented in this article, there is another state aid for the purchase of an electric bike.
